This Vietnamese beef soup is differently yetIs called fo-bo. It turns out very satisfying, after all it is prepared from meat on a meat broth. Mint, lemon and chili add a unique flavor to the first dish, which is instantly carried throughout the house, collecting the family for a delicious lunch or dinner.
You will need
- Four servings:
- - 400 g of beef-
- - 300 g of rice noodles-
- - 90 g of bean sprouts-
- - 1 red chili pepper, 1 lemon, 1 white onion, 1 anise (baden), 1 cinnamon stick-
- - 1.5 liters of beef broth-
- - green onions, mint leaves, fish sauce, white ground pepper.
Piece of meat put in a plastic bag, remove it for 40 minutes in the freezer.
Put a head of onion in a large saucepan, anise,Cinnamon, pepper, add a couple of tablespoons fish sauce (you can buy in Japanese goods stores or replace with oyster sauce), pour in broth and 500 ml of water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, cook for 20 minutes.
Remove the onion, anise, cinnamon stick. Add rice noodles to ordinary boiling water, stir, drain. Rinse the noodles with cold water. Take the meat from the freezer, cut it very thinly across the fibers.
Spread the meat and chopped green onionsServing soup plates. Spread the meat, mint, sprouts, chopped white onion and chopped chili pepper for flavor. Pour the hot meat broth with a ladle on the plates, serve with lemon wedges. Usually such soup is served with Chinese sticks.
