It is quite possible to update Kaspersky Anti-Virus from a local folder, provided there are two computers with the same version installed.

In this case, one computer will be used to enter the network and download antivirus databases from the update servers, and the second - to update from the local folder of the first.

You will need

  • - Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011.

Configure one of the computers included in the local network to update from the Internet from Kaspersky Lab's servers.

Click the "Start" button to open the main system menu and go to "My Computer" to change the attributes of the created folder. By default it is hidden and inaccessible for viewing.

Specify the "Folder Options" item and go to the "View" tab of the opened dialog box.

Select the "Show hidden files and folders" check box in the "Advanced settings" section.

Open the main window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 to perform the settings for copying updates to a local folder.

Open the "Settings" link in the upper right corner of the application window and select the "Update" section on the left side of the window.

Apply the "Copy updates to folder" check box in the "Advanced" section on the right side of the program window.

Click the "Browse" button and specify the path to the previously created update folder.

Click OK to confirm your selection and click OK in the Settings window to apply the selected changes.
