Classification of fibreboard according to the method of production
Fibreboard can be produced by wet and dry method. A wet method involves pre-soaking the material in water. Such plates are formed under the influence of a low temperature, and then dried. Surfaces of fiberboard wet mode of production are different: one mesh, the other is smooth.
With a dry method of production, a mixture of materials andAdditives are fed to the press in a dry form, and in order for the plate to form, heat is applied. Fibreboard of dry method of production immediately has smooth surfaces and a more loose structure.
Classification of fiberboard by destination

Classification of hardboard by hardness
An important parameter of fiberboard is hardness. Soft plates are distinguished, their density does not exceed 350 kg / m3, and solid fiberboard with a density of 800 kg / m3.
Soft fiberboard is manufactured at lowTemperatures, their strength is very small, but they have a porous structure that gives them good heat and sound insulation properties. Therefore, such wood-fiber boards are used for insulation work in buildings. The most common use is the insulation of roofs. Soft fiberboard can have a thickness of 9 mm to 25 mm.
There are a lot of hardwood fiber species. They differ in the form of the outer layer - ungraded, tinted, with a layer of wood pulp, - and also in density and hardness. A classification system has been developed for their classification. The main operational property of this type of fiberboard is hardness, therefore they are used mainly in the furniture industry and construction.
