Selecting the material from which you can performColumn, depends on the design of the entire interior. If it is a strict classical style, then the columns are made of marble, granite, limestone, travertine and other stones, including semi-precious stones. Apply in this case, and artificial stone. Columns made of stone can bear not only a decorative function, but also be used as bearing structural elements. The easiest way is to make a column of concrete. For this, the columns are poured in stages, in parallel reinforcing with metal rods. However, it is very difficult to make such a column. Special equipment and technology is needed.

    2

Stylization is much more common. They are located separately, at the walls, in the wall arches. The column is made of plasterboard and stucco. In order to make the base of the column, you need plasterboard sheets, metal profile, fasteners, plumb bob, drill.

    3

First, mark the location of the column. Draw a circle on the ceiling of the desired diameter, from it back down to the thickness of the sheet and draw a new circle. This will be the boundary of the drywall assembly. With the plumb bob, move the inner circle to the floor.

    4

Take the profile and bend it in a circle. To do this, it is necessary to cut the wedges on the inside of the profile at a distance sufficient to bend the drywall along the desired path. With the ceiling and the floor profiles are connected with dowels. Horizontal profiles are fixed vertical, fixing in grooves. Verify the verticality with a plumb line. In the middle between a floor and a ceiling it is necessary to make strengthening of a skeleton by means of a cross-section profile.

    5

To bend the drywall, you can useDry and wet method. However, the wet method still limits the diameter of the fold. It is better to use a dry method. For this, on one side of the sheet, the cuts are made with wedges along the entire length, without damaging the bottom layer of cardboard. The width of the cuts and the distance between them depends on the diameter of the bend. The steeper the bend, the more and more cuts.

    6

To the frame gypsum board is screwed with screws,Drowning them in a sheet. Then all the joints and pits from the screws are shpaklyuyut, polished and then applied decorative plaster, mosaic or wallpaper for painting. You can leave the column of gypsum, and make molding on top. Then cover with a water-based paint of the desired color.
