How to partition a hard disk into bios

How to partition a hard disk into bios</a>

Many users are already accustomed to the fact that hard drives should be broken into at least two sections.

This is a very effective way to keep your data in case of system failure.

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to break the hardDisk into partitions directly in the Windows operating system environment. The reasons for the occurrence of such a fact can be many and it is pointless to consider them.

But there is a way to split the hard drive in the BIOS environment.

You will need

  • DVD or USB drive, Partition Magic

First, you need to find a program thatWill work in the BIOS and write it to disk or flash drive. In order not to waste time creating a multi-boot disk or flash drive, we recommend that you find a ready image of the disk containing Acronis or PartitionMagic.

Set the boot priority from the disk (or flash drive)Or press F8 when the computer starts and select the desired device. Wait until the start is complete from the disk. Open Powerquest Partition Magic and select Advanced User Mode. Unlike the newbie mode, here you will be able to configure in more detail the parameters of future partitions.

Select the "Create Partition" item. Before you will open an interactive window showing the status and the number of partitions of your hard disks. Configure the settings for future partitions: specify the number of files, the format of the file system, and the size.

After all settings are complete, click "Apply" and wait for the partitioning process to complete.
