To make an original and unusual ornament for a cake it is possible with own hands. A wonderful material for modeling edible decor is mastic.
It does not require large investments in the purchase of ingredients, is plastic, well-colored.
Therefore, it is suitable for creating floral compositions even for a beginner master.
You will need

- - powdered milk-
- - food colorings-
- - food film.
Prepare the milk mastic. In a large bowl, mix the same amount of powdered sugar and milk powder, then pour the condensed milk. Observe the proportions 1: 1: 1. Stir the mass until it resembles a smooth soft clay.
Divide the mastic into several parts and colorEach in the color you need the food color. Lower the wooden toothpick into the dry food color, then pierce it with a plastic dough. Repeat the operation several times. Each time, well knead the lump, so that the dye is evenly distributed, until you achieve the desired intensity of color.
Wrap the food film with a smooth cutting machineBoard. Pinching off small balls from the lump of mastic, flatten them between the fingers and lay them on the polyethylene at a distance from each other. Cover everything on top with a piece of food film.
Take the tortillas with your fingers through the film, giving them the shape of the rose petals. Especially intensively walk along the edges of the plastic mass, so that they become thin and wavy.

Fold the flowers in a container and close them.Cover. Store mastic can be at room temperature for several weeks. Decorate the cake with flowers just before serving. Otherwise, roses can absorb moisture from the environment and fall down.
