Laying the floor remains one of the most important repairs.
Incorrectly laid floor will negate the entire effect of correctly glued wallpaper and stretch ceiling.
In order to correct mistakes made during theLaying floor, you will almost have to start repairing again: take out all furniture, remove skirting boards and door jambs, open decorative flooring.
In short, it is better to immediately lay the floor with all the rules.
You will need
- - a wooden beam with a cross-section of 70x100 mm for making log-
- - a pine floorboard with a thickness of at least 30 mm-
- - sheets of plywood or GVL-
- - expanded clay or mineral wool-
- - ruberoid or other waterproofing material -
- - protective impregnation for wood-
- - mounting foam-
- - parchment paper-
- - decorative flooring (laminate, parquet, linoleum, carpet, ceramic tiles).
Prepare boards and logs for work. Spread them indoors and leave for 1-2 weeks. During this time they will achieve the right balance of humidity.
Lay the waterproofing on the concrete base. Use a ruberoid for this. When stacking, seal the seams and overlap the walls. Laying the waterproofing is necessary for the installation of the floor on the first floor of the building or in rooms with high humidity: bathrooms and toilets.
Lay logs in steps of 50-60 cm. Do not attach them to the base rigidly. Leave between lags and walls 10-15 mm. Align all the lags by level, use to align the gaskets.
Treate the logs with protective impregnation. Apply the same impregnation to the boards for the rough floor and leave to dry.
When the logs dry, pour between them the expanded clayTo the level of the upper edge of the bar. The claydite can be replaced with other insulating materials, for example, with mineral wool. This gasket will save you from the effect of the "drum" and will become an excellent noise isolation.
Plank the planks of the rough floor across. Fasten them to the base with self-tapping screws at the junction of the board and lag. Use two screws per connection.
If the length of the boards is less than the length of the room, lay the boards so that the joint is on the lag.
Leave the distance between the boards and the walls in10-15 mm. This is the so-called expansion joint. Lay the boards with a distance of 3-5 mm between them. In the future, the boards will not squeak, touching the edges.
Spread over the rough parchment floorPaper. It can be laid sheets of moisture-resistant plasterboard or thick plywood. Fix the sheets to the rough floor with screws on the perimeter and in the spread across the entire area of the sheet.
The distance between the wall and the new rough floor is filled with a mounting foam. When the foam dries, cut off its remains evenly with plasterboard.
Now your floor is ready to lay any coating: parquet, carpet, laminate or ceramic tiles.
