Spring ... Opening of the summer season!
As a rule, the first sorties to the country house are not associated with harvesting.
But if you prepare well in the autumn, then in May you can collect in your garden a good harvest of fresh dill greenery, so necessary in the period of vitamin deficiency!
1. In the 10th of October we prepare a bed for garlic for planting in the winter. To do this, dig up and loosen the soil, fertilize with manure, superphosphate (2 tablespoons per 1 sq. M.) Or a special fertilizer for growing garlic. We make wells 5-7 cm deep at a distance of 10-15 cm from each other, in each we pile a pinch of ash. We put a slice of garlic in each hole, and put it on its side, and do not stick it. We fall asleep on the ground.
2. After the garlic is planted, in the aisles the furrows are 2-3 cm deep - along and across the bed, as if a grid, in each square of which is a hole with planted garlic. In the furrows we put the rotted manure, and then generously sow the seeds of dill. Important: when planting dill, you can not add ash, dill it "does not like"! We fall asleep furrows with the earth, we level. From above, we fill up the entire bed with peat, cover with lapnik or other covering material.
3. In spring we harvest a good harvest of dill. Advice: if there is a lot of dill, it can be washed, dried, cut, put into plastic containers and frozen. Now at any time it will be possible to take from the freezer the right amount of dill for cooking and decorating dishes - to taste, aroma and appearance, it almost does not differ from fresh!
