The most common genre of fine art is a portrait.
Let's try, step by step, to figure out how to perform a successful portrait.
You will need
- Sheet A2, a simple pencil.
The layout. We place the face on the sheet, we denote by a circle. You can schedule hair and neck, and then start building.
Dividing the head in half, we find the line of eyes. Then denote the middle line (to deal with the rotation)
Using a pencil, we measure how much the noseFits in the head, we do the same with each part of the face. If you know proportional laws, you can spend much less time building. Do not put pressure on the pencil, it is better to make the construction easier.
The next stage is the tone. You can easily cover the entire head. Having determined the light source, make the shadow areas dense in strokes.
Gradually gaining a tone. We specify the sizes and forms of parts of the face, emphasize the volume with the help of a tone. After the execution of all the black and white moments, we proceed to reflexes and penumbraes.
Detailing. We do all the little things, emphasize the bright moments, generalize the excessively flashy. We check the plan. This is the final stage, the more time is spent on it, the work will be more convincing.
