Have you decided to have a wavy friend?
How not to make a mistake and buy a healthy bird?
Look at the behavior of parrots in the cage. A healthy bird is active, it does not sit huddled in a corner and does not sleep, ruffling feathers. Watch out if the bird is constantly itching.
When you decide on a choice, pay attention to the plumage of the bird. Feathers should be clean, tightly fitting to the body, without bald patches.
Look at the parrot's beak. It should be clean, smooth, with no outgrowths, regular shape. Neck-sucking in males is of blue color, females are pink or brownish. Nostrils of the same size.
The wavy parrot's eyes betray his age. In a young bird they are black without a halo. Older birds appear a light ring around the edges of the eyes.
The feet should be clean, symmetrical. On each finger should be a healthy claw, not interfering with the bird sit on the perch. Any growths, peeling on the feet should alert.
Breath of the bird must be noiseless. Whistling and wheezing can be a symptom of colds.
Before making a final decision, watch the parrot. Activity, sociability and appetite are good signs.
